2 sets, 20 songs, 1 awesome weekend!
We’re back from Roberts Creek and it was awesome. This was our second time playing the Legion in Roberts Creek and it was just as fun as we remember, with the whole crowd dancing along to every song.
We played two sets and 20 original songs for this show–our complete recording history minus one song: Voice for Youth. We will have to bring that one back eventually too.
Highlights of the show were Lawrence’s blistering solo sax solo in Buckshot Ricochet, Felix’s trumpet solos in Benny Bones and Garrrie, and Kevin Lyman’s guitar solos in Space Case 2.
For those that want to relive the show, we have created a Spotify playlist of the setlist. Check it out:
Opening up the show was Monty Montego and the Rocksteady Crew, who played a set of first wave ska covers, including a ton of Toots songs. They were rad and super nice. Hope we get to play with them again down the road.
Next up, we have a show at One & a Half Ave. in Squamish on December 3 with our great friends Balkan Shmalkan, which includes Brehdren members Felix, Erik, and Sweet. Make sure you bring comfy shoes as you will certainly be dancing all night long.
A week later we will return to Vancouver for Xmas in Skaville at the Anza Club with Kownterpoint, The Elixxxirs, and The Wavebirds.
