Photo Teaser
Brehdren had a great rehearsal last night and spent a bit of time going over the game plan for 2012. You should start seeing a lot more activity here and in the real world as the months progress. While working on the composition I noticed that the masks (outlines) of the members were pretty awesome, so I thought we could share them with you.
Show no go.
Sorry folks, no show this Thursday. Technical difficulties, but go to Uli's anyway! Have a few drinks for a good cause.
Photoshoot
Brehdren are getting ready for a photo shoot of the band for their press package (and the site of course). Confirming the talented band photographer Crystal Peter to capture the essence of the group the project is now ready to go. We can't tell you too much right now or it will spoil the surprise, but there are a few things we can leak at this point. It will be shot on February 4th, it will be taken outdoors and likely involve a street corner. We can definitely tell you that it w0n't involve the boys in Dress Jackets, nor will they be sitting on a couch, nor will they be busking. Another thing we can mention is that Scott, the frontman, has been growing his hair out for the past month and a half and as some describe as looking "shaggy" lately (and not like the singer...nor the cartoon character).
Happy New Year!
Why has it been so quiet around here? What's happening with Brehdren?
We've been extremely busy getting ready for 2012. Lining up shows, recording some demos, revamping the logo, setting up a photo shoot, writing a band bio, prepping the old press-package, pre-production for a new music video, integrating Lawrence's sax with existing songs, writing new material and preparing upgrades for our rehearsal space. We're attempting to get as much of this out of the way as soon as possible, so we can get back out into the public and get those booties on the dance floor.
It’s a small world.
We love the Wintermitts. We had a really great time at the Garlic Festival this year and can't wait to play more shows with them in the future.
Scott is a media producer and educator when not fronting for Brehdren and recently had a student ask him about some techniques local film maker, Grant Baldwin, used in his videos. After watching his film '130 seconds of Hornby' Scott became enthralled with Grants work and began to dig deeper. Not only is Grant a talented videographer, but also a talented musician, check out Phontaine.
